Choosing a presentation design agency is one thing. Choosing the right presentation design package is another.
At Hype Presentations, we work with clients across all kinds of briefs: tight deadlines, big pitches, sales decks that need a complete rethink, and everything in between. So rather than squeezing every project into a one-size-fits-all service, we built three distinct packages around the way our clients actually work.
This post is here to make the choice straightforward. We will walk you through Refresh, Premium and Ultimate, show you what each one looks like in practice, and help you figure out which one fits your next project.
First, what do all presentation design packages have in common?
Before we get into the differences, a few things hold true across all three.
Every package starts with a proper conversation. Before any design work begins, we get under the skin of your requirements, your brand, your audience, and what you are trying to achieve. That kickoff is non-negotiable regardless of which route you go down.
All presentation design packages are also scoped by number of slides, so you are only ever paying for what you actually need. No vague day rates, no inflated estimates. Just a clear scope tied to your presentation.
Everything we deliver is built to be used. Not just beautiful, but functional, brand-consistent, and ready to present the moment it lands in your inbox.
Now, let us look at the options.
Refresh: fast, focused, and effective
Refresh is our entry-level presentation design package, and it is sharper than the name might suggest.
If you already have a presentation and just need it to look the part, Refresh is built for exactly that. We take what you have got and elevate it using your existing brand guidelines, design collateral, and any assets you can share. No new creative direction, no blank canvas. We work with your materials and make them look genuinely professional.
Basic animation is included to bring a bit of life to the slides, and the whole process is designed to move quickly. Refresh is the right call when time or budget is tight, but standards still matter.
What it is not: a full redesign, a new creative concept, or a storytelling overhaul. If your content needs a rethink, or you want something that feels genuinely bespoke, you will likely want to step up.
What Refresh looks like in practice
Imagine a technology company with a 20-slide investor update. The content is solid, the structure makes sense, and the brand guidelines are clear. But the slides were built in-house by someone who was pressed for time, and it shows. Fonts are inconsistent, layouts are cluttered, and the animation is a basic fade.
With a Refresh, we take those 20 slides and do the following:
- Apply brand fonts, colours, and spacing consistently across every slide
- Rework layouts so the content breathes and hierarchy is clear
- Replace or reformat any charts and data visuals to match brand standards
- Add clean, professional animation that supports the narrative without distracting from it
The output is the same presentation, elevated. It looks like it was designed properly from the start. The client saved time, kept costs sensible, and walked into the board meeting with something they were proud to show.
Premium: our most popular presentation design package for good reason
Premium is where things open up.
Instead of working within existing assets, our designers create something genuinely bespoke. At the start of the project, we develop two or three creative routes for you to consider, each with its own visual direction. You choose the one that feels right, give us your feedback, and we build from there.
It is a more collaborative process throughout. Premium includes an in-depth kickoff call, regular progress check-ins, and dedicated project management from start to finish. You are never left wondering where things are or who to contact.
The animation is a significant step up too. Rather than simple transitions, Premium presentations feature advanced motion and dynamic animation handled by our presentation experience specialists. This is the difference between slides that move and slides that feel alive.
Premium is the right choice when the presentation matters, when you want something that reflects the quality of your brand rather than just ticking a box. It suits everything from sales decks and pitch presentations to conference keynotes and investor decks.
What Premium looks like in practice
Take the same technology company from the Refresh example. Same brief, same content. But this time, the presentation needs to land a significant commercial deal. The stakes are higher, and they want something that genuinely stands out.
With a Premium project, the process looks different from the start:
- An in-depth kickoff call to understand the audience, the objective, the tone, and any specific requirements
- Three creative route options, each showing a distinct visual direction and design language
- The chosen route developed across all 20 slides with bespoke layout, typography, iconography, and visual storytelling
- Advanced animation throughout, timed and purposeful, used to guide the audience through the content rather than just decorate it
- Regular check-in calls at key stages, with a dedicated project manager keeping everything on track
The output is a presentation that looks like it was made for this specific company, this specific audience, and this specific moment. Because it was.
The same brief, two different results
To make this concrete, here is how the two approaches play out side by side with an identical brief.
The brief: A 20-slide capabilities deck for a financial services firm, presenting to a new corporate client for the first time. The firm has brand guidelines and a previous version of the deck.
Refresh approach: We take the existing deck and apply consistent branding throughout. Layouts are tightened, typography is cleaned up, data slides are reformatted to be clearer, and basic animation is added for a polished finish. The presentation looks sharp and professional. The client is confident presenting it. Total turnaround: a few days.
Premium approach: We start fresh, creatively. After the kickoff call, we develop three visual directions, ranging from a clean minimal aesthetic to a bolder, more dynamic option. The client chooses a direction and we build a fully bespoke presentation around it. Custom iconography, advanced animation, a clear visual hierarchy across every slide. The presentation does not just look professional, it feels like a statement of intent. The client turns up to the meeting knowing their deck will do half the work for them.
Same brief. Same slides. Very different presentations.
Which one is right depends on what the presentation needs to do. And honestly, that is the question worth asking before you decide.
Ultimate: when you want the full picture
Ultimate is everything Premium includes, plus a deeper layer of strategic collaboration.
If your challenge is not just design but also the narrative, the structure, and the story, Ultimate is where we go end to end with you.
It starts with a Discovery Workshop, where we spend meaningful time exploring your objectives, your audience, your key messages, and the arc of the presentation before a single slide is designed. From there, our team leads on the content development, shaping the storytelling alongside the design so that the two work together rather than one retrofitted onto the other.
Ultimate also includes custom chart design, a bespoke PowerPoint template you can use long after the project ends, and a tailored training session so your team knows how to get the most from what we have built.
It is the right choice when the stakes are high, the narrative needs work, or you want something that will serve as a long-term asset rather than a single-use deck. Think major pitches, executive keynotes, or a flagship sales deck that will be used across the business.
So which presentation design package should you choose?
A few questions worth asking:
Do you already have a presentation you are broadly happy with, and just need it to look the part? Refresh is probably your answer.
Do you need something bespoke that reflects your brand properly and will actually impress the room? Premium is where most of our clients land, and for good reason.
Is the story as much of a challenge as the design? Or do you need something that will be used repeatedly across the business? Talk to us about Ultimate.
If you are still not sure, just get in touch. We have scoped enough projects to know quickly which direction makes sense, and we will always tell you straight.
FAQs
What if my presentation is somewhere between Refresh and Premium?
That is not unusual. We will look at your existing materials and your brief and give you an honest recommendation on where to start. Sometimes Refresh is genuinely the right call. Sometimes what a client thinks is a tidy-up turns out to need more creative input than expected. We would rather tell you upfront than start one thing and pivot mid-project.
How long does each presentation design package take?
It varies depending on the number of slides and complexity, but broadly: Refresh is our fastest turnaround, Premium runs over a more structured timeline with review stages built in, and Ultimate involves the most upfront collaboration, so it takes longer but results in a more considered output from the start.
Can I start with Refresh and upgrade later?
Yes. Some clients start with a Refresh to get something ready fast, then commission a Premium rebuild once they have more time or budget. We can pick up from where we left off.
How are packages priced?
All packages are scoped by number of slides, so presentation design pricing is always tied to the size of your project. Get in touch for a quote and we will come back to you quickly.
What format will I receive my presentation in?
We work primarily in PowerPoint, which is what most business audiences use and expect. If you need a different format, just let us know at the start of the project. We’re happy to work in Google Slides, Figma or whatever works for you.
